Own Choice Plates:
Own Choice Plates (OCP), commonly known as Personalized or Vanity Plates are a mean to express yourself.
The general rules in the selection of Personalized Plates are:
Maximum number of characters (letters and numbers): 2 to 8 characters (Motorcycles 2 to 5)
Offensive meanings are NOT allowed. The content will be subject to a review committee, which may reject the plate if it is considered to be objectionable, for example:

Veterans can apply for the special- no charge Veterans Plate by obtaining a special application from the Royal Canadian Legion.
Eligible are the following: Ontarians who served in wartime as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, or allied forces, or in the Merchant Navy or Ferry Command. People who have served at least three years, and who may still be serving, in the Canadian Armed Forces are also eligible. Men and women who have performed NATO service or served in a peacekeeping mission as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces, a UN peacekeeping force, or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. A $5.00 administration fee will be charged by the Royal Canadian Legion to verify eligibility. Gift Certificates for some of the above plates are available at the Vehicles and Drivers Licence Office
