Changing the Name on your Driver's Licence

Changing  the name on your licence is a simple procedure which requires to fill out an  application, and the presentation of the official document with  the name change such as the marriage certificate or the new name certificate.

Once the name is changed, you will be issued a temporary driver's licence with your new name. You will keep your old licence as a photo part. 
A laminated Licence will be mailed in two to three weeks. When you receive the new document, destroy the old one

Changing the Address  on your Driver's Licence

You must notify the Ministry of Transportation the change of your address of residence within six days of the change. Changing  the address on your licence is a simple procedure which requires to fill out an  application. 

In addition to your main address, you may register a mailing address different to that where you live, but your residential  address is a  must on your licence.

You may apply for the change of name on your drivers licence at any Licence office

Once the address is changed, you will be issued a temporary driver's licence with your new address . You will keep your old licence as a photo part.

Other Changes on your Driver's Licence 

You may apply at any Licence office  to change the height or sex on your drivers licence,  your may also apply for a downgrading if it does not require a test. 

Changes on the sex description requires a certificate from a specialized clinic such as the Clark Institute.

Changes which requires a test can be done only at the Driver Examination Centers
